PLUCK THE RIGHT WAY
When plucking/tweezing your eyebrows, lip area always make sure that you firstly pull the skin taught. This helps to minimise the sting of the hair being pulled out. Make sure that you always grab the hair at the base and pull only in the direction that it grows. This will ensure that the hair is pulled from the root and doesn’t snap.
STICKY POLISH BOTTLES
To stop your nail polish lids from becoming sticky and hard to open. First clean the inside of the lid, then put 1 or 2 very small drops of oil into the lid. Roll between your hands, then place the lid back on the bottle. Twist a few times to spread the oil evenly around the screw cap neck of the bottle. This will stop the lid from becoming sticky and almost impossibly to open.
EYEBROW TWEEZING
Apply a fine dusting of cornflour (I say cornflour because it’s natural) or talc over the eyebrow area. This helps show up even the fairest and finest of brow hair, so you don’t miss any whilst tweezing.
MAKE PRODUCTS LAST LONGER
If you use Cotton wool balls/pads to apply a liquid cleanser, toner or eye makeup remover, make sure they are damp first. If your product goes onto a dry pad, the pad soaks up more product than is needed. Use a damp cotton pad and this saves your products, making them last longer.
SPOTTY NAILS
White spots on nails. There are many myths regarding what causes these.
Calcium deficiency, Zinc deficiency, unhealthy diet, signs of aging. Well the truth is they are bruises. You can bang your nail without even noticing and a little white spot will appear a week or so later. The new nail tissue that is growing has been damaged slightly. It will grow out soon enough and your nails will look nice and healthy again.
