A GENTLE EXFOLIATION
Using oats is a great method of exfoliation for sensitive skin. Mix the oats into a paste with warm water and gently rub in upwards circular movements. This will be very gentle on the skin and cause no abrasion or irritation. Its great for all over the body including the face.
A BETTER FACIAL
If your facial muscles are relaxed you receive the rest of the treatment so much better. So warm the face first, either by steaming or a warm towel placed over your face for 15 minutes. Once the face is warmed, then give yourself a gentle face massage, even if only 5 minutes it better than nothing. Then apply your chosen face mask. Your pores have been opened from the warmth and relaxed from the massage. This will help your skin to receive the benefits of the masks ingredients so much better.
FACIAL EXFOLIATION
This really helps to smooth the skin and help your skin receive the next treatment better. Whether that be applying your moisturiser or a face mask. The exfoliation will help remove the dead skin cell barrier. Exfoliation of the face should really only be done twice a week maximum.
POLISH MISTAKES
If you don’t have a polish correcting pen, it’s a bit tricky to remove any polish that has hit the skin. You can’t apply polish remover on a cotton pad as the rest of your nails are probably still wet. Always make sure that you have an orange stick to hand. You can dip the fine end of the orange stick into the polish remover and gradually remove even the smallest of mistakes that are very close to or under the nail.
